Bust Number 2 is over and done with!

Well, at least our house is really clean again! Absolutely no one stopped in today. No one. Not one single person. Blah!!!!! Not sure where we go from here. For now I'm relaxing in my really clean house. And trying not to cry!

Open House - Take two!!

We have lowered the price for the second time and will be having an open house tomorrow from 1-3pm. I want to stay and pretend to be Diane's assistant so I can hear firsthand what someone likes or doesn't like about our place.
Tim has done most of the cleaning today since I was working for my friend Laura, who has a party planning business. We did 2 parties - a Cars theme for a 3 year old boy in Bethesda, and a princess/prince theme for a 5 year old girl in Baltimore. Oh, and I worked from 8-9am at Happy Dog this morning. Quite a busy day, and I'm tired, but it all was really fun!
So, we shall see what tomorrow brings regarding our place. I'm not really anxious since I'm not expecting much. Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised!!

Not too consistent, am I?

Ok, I am so impressed by people who blog daily, or at least regularly! I'm still struggling with"I have nothing to say", or "I have nothing good to say because I'm upset", or whatever. So, I am here to say nothing much has changed with our place. We had one other showing, I think last Monday, but we haven't heard feedback from them yet. Some days I am SOOO frustrated because I want to move, and now!, but I'm trying not to get too upset about the timing. We're doing what we can and that's all we can do. I much prefer the buying end of this process rather than the selling. That way we have more control and can reject a place, rather than someone rejecting our place! Since we haven't had many showings we are starting to slack off on keeping the living room and dining room as neat as we had been. Now that the kids are out of school it will be even harder, but we need to keep it maintained. That way if Diane calls for a showing we will be ready!
Owen's update - since we figured out the tick hadn't been on him long, and it wasn't full of blood, and it came off pretty easily, we decided to just watch the site for a rash and not put him on antibiotics. Yay! I much prefer not to use them but will when it's necessary.

Owen had a hitchhiker on him this morning!

Eeek, we found a tick on Owen this morning! We took if off and Tim took it into work. Kevin said it's a deer tick so I called Owen's doctor to see about putting him on antibiotics. Hopefully the tick isn't infected with Lyme's but if it is we want to be proactive. Other than that we had a great time staying at Kevin and Ann's this weekend - very peaceful and relaxing to be near the woods.

The Open House was a bust!!

After all the cleaning, and hiding of leftover stuff, and more cleaning, and stress, we had ZERO people come to look at our place who were interested in buying. A few neighbors stopped by, and our friend, Julie, who came as a spy. That's it. Ugh! We had already lowered the price before the Open House so we'll probably wait at least a little to lower it again. We looked at some places yesterday - 2 in our price range which were both really nice, 1 that was a little out of our price range, and one that was way out of our price range but so gorgeous!! It was 4000 square feet of beautiful furniture, decorations, wood, oh, it was amazing! The windows were open so a fresh breeze was coming through. Absolutely stunning!!
